Freeland Barbour & Gerda Stevenson

The acclaimed musician and composer Freeland Barbour wrote this biography of Lady Nairne, one of Perthshire and Scotland’s best-loved song-writers. 'She has been too often overlooked, owing to her own modesty and wish for anonymity yet some of her songs are so well-known, such as A Hundred Pipers and Charlie is my Darling’.  Freeland spoke about Lady Nairne and there was a chance to hear (and join in) some of the songs that she wrote.  Gerda Stevenson (actress, director, singer, songwriter, poet) returned to BOOKMARK to help bring BOOKMARK 2019 to a rousing musical finale.
